A proud West Baltimore native and alumna of The Seton Keough High School, Jessica earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Morgan State University and her Master of Social Work from Howard University. During her MSW program, she completed her clinical field placement at the VA Medical Center in Maryland, where she received extensive training in PTSD and trauma recovery among veterans.
Jessica holds a Post-Master’s Certificate in Trauma-Informed Clinical Practice from NYU Silver School of Social Work and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). She is also a Maryland Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, offering licensure supervision and mentorship to LMSWs across the state.
Her career includes over 10 years in medical social work and 5 years in hospice and palliative care, where she supported individuals and families through chronic illness, grief, and end-of-life transitions. These experiences continue to shape her holistic and compassionate approach to therapy.
Jessica is also a sought-out speaker and workshop facilitator, leading mental wellness and healing-centered events across Baltimore. She has facilitated trainings and workshops at institutions such as Baltimore City College, Loyola University Maryland, and Morgan State University, where she also serves as a Field Instructor.
Beyond the therapy room, Jessica is a trusted community leader and advocate. She is an alumna of the Associated Black Charities Board Pipeline Program (2023) and a member of the Board of Directors for both Arts Every Day—where she serves on the Governance Committee—and the Baltimore Family Alliance. She formerly served as the Acting Board Chair of the Parent and Community Advisory Board for Baltimore City Public Schools, advocating for student equity and family voice in education.
Jessica is also a founding member of the Steering Committee for Healing City Baltimore, an initiative focused on trauma-responsive care and policy, launched in partnership with now Baltimore City Council President Zeke Cohen.
Through her clinical practice, community advocacy, and public speaking, Jessica continues to build systems that heal, empower, and uplift—helping others restore not only their mental health, but their legacy.
